Barbeque Nation is a casual dining restaurant where the concept is basically to have your food barbecued on the grill on your table. I have visited their other branch in Al Barsha as well as in India so was very much familiar to their concept. The grill is placed at the centre of your table and skewers of chicken, fish, veggies, shrimps is placed on your grill to be grilled and had hot. I loved the fish, prawns, masala corn and the pineapple on the skewer during my visit this weekend. They have live counters for the chat items, desserts and so on. The main-course is in the form of buffet that has veg and non veg items like the curries, dry items and rice items.
I generally don’t try the main-course as i enjoy the grilled dishes and end up directly going to the dessert counter. Even during my this visit to karama branch i ended up having the grilled starters and then moved on to the dessert counter. The best part was that they had the live jalebi counter but the jalebis were kind of over fried and were not soaked for enough time in the sugar syrup and didn’t taste sweet at all. I was kinda disappointed with the jalebis. The kulfi, brownies, mousse, caramel and not to forget the angoori gulab jamun were all so toothsome. I enjoyed the gulab jamuns with ice-cream.
The interior remains the same throughout all their branches. Service was excellent and the food was delectable. Make sure to have a confirmed reservation before you plan your visit. If you walk in directly on a weekend be prepared to wait at-least for 30-45 mins. This restaurant is good for celebrations like birthdays, Anniversaries and so on.
