Mr. Crab located in Al Barsha is a seafood lovers paradise. It is a casual dining restaurant that serves some amazing sea food. I went in on a Friday afternoon for lunch and the place was crowded. It is a small restaurant with indoor seating and a few outdoor seats. Make sure to be patient enough to get your table. The food here is worth waiting for a table.
The service here is excellent and the staff here are warm and welcoming. They helped me choose the best from the menu and were very patient and attentive. The restaurant has a cozy and lively ambience and I spent almost 3 hours and didn’t realise that I had been there for so long!!
We started off with the complimentary prawn crackers. The crackers were crispy and went well with the vinegar dip. We ordered Peach Iced Tea and Lemon Iced Tea for the drinks. They were refreshing.
Crab Meat Tacos: The meat was soft and juicy and the toppings were just so perfect.
Chicken Fajita: Sauteed chicken with bell peppers, avocados, onions were served on tortilla and topped with sour cream. It was quite filling.
Dynamite Shrimps: Shrimps tossed in sweet & spicy sauce. This was probably the best dynamite shrimps I had till date.
Sampler Platter: It had onion rings, seafood spring rolls, chicken wings and seafood balls with 2 types of dips. The platter was scrumptious.
For the crabs we ordered the Blue Crab-o-nanza. It had the blue crab, mussels, corn, and baby potatoes cooked with their signature cajun sauce. The sauce was delicious. This comes with unlimited rice servings/ french fried and 4 Iced teas. We chose fries instead of the rice. The crab was so well cooked in the sauce and we enjoyed shelling out the crabs and having the meat to the fullest. Blue Crab-o-nanza is good to share for 4 people.
They not only serve the best sea food but they also serve some amazing desserts.
Cookie in a Pan: This was freshly prepared after we placed our order. Soft and moist cookie dough baked and topped with vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. This was lip-smacking.
Brownie Madness: We are hardcore brownie fans and we enjoyed the brownie madness. Chocolate brownie chunks with vanilla ice-cream and caramel sauce at the top was just heaven.
