Over the weekend for a blogger’s meet, I made a visit to Piadèra, an Italian restaurant located at the World Trade Centre area. This restaurant specializes in Authentic Italian flat Bread known as Piada. Piadèra offers the most delicious, authentic recipes of piadina in the Romagna area made with fresh ingredients, typical of the best Italian cuisine: buffalo mozzarella, burrata cheese, charcuterie, fresh vegetables, extra virgin olive oil.

The Restaurant has a very simple interior yet beautiful and the ambiance is great with the red and white stripes which was inspired by the Italian beach kiosks.

To start the Italian breakfast, I ordered for a Cappuccino which came with a small cookie. The cappuccino was delicious while the cookie was ok.

I had the chance to make my own Piada. I made the piada by rolling it through the machine and then tossing it over the hot pan. I chose my own fillings which is the smoked turkey breast with veggies, cheese and sauce in it. I finally grilled the Piada and had it. It was super delicious. The flat bread was so fresh and it just melted down in my mouth.  It’s a great concept that the Piada’s are freshly prepared in front of you and you can either chose from the menu or make your own Piada. I was impressed with it.

For the desserts, I had the Apple cake and the Tenerina chocolate cake. Apple cake is made the Italian way with fresh apples and chef’s lemon Magic. The Tenerina Chocolate Cake is famous for being soft inside and hard outside like brownies. Both the cakes were delicious but I was in love with the Tenerina Chocolate Cake.

To end my meal, I chose to have the apple juice, which was freshly prepared with no artificial preservatives etc.I even tried the lemon mint which was fresh and refreshing.

The partner of the restaurant briefed about Piadèra, its origin, recipes and the ingredients. It was quite an interesting session. I am going back for more Piada’s!!
