Raju Omlet – If you are egg lover, you should undeniably visit Raju Omlet. Raju Omlet is a very cozy and pocket friendly restaurant in Karama serving all kinds of egg dishes. They have opened another branch in AlQuoz to which I haven’t visited until now but will soon visit. Raju Omlet is eggpectionally good and is known for serving a variety of hearty home-style eggs. I have been visiting the Karama Branch ever since it has opened and I must admit it’s the best place for my eggy cravings. The restaurant in Karama is quite small and I guess it accommodates around 20 people. On weekends, for breakfast its quite packed and the waiting can be a minimum of 20 minutes. So be patient enough to wait if you want to try their amazing dishes. I have tried a couple of dishes from their menu and I end up ordering my favorites most of the time.
Bhurji: A traditional favorite, scrambled eggs with a splash of green chilies and tomatoes, chopped onions, ginger and garlic. The Bhurji is served with Bombay pav which is a perfect combination to have Bhurji with. This portion is good for one person. (AED 12)
Crush Omlet: A rich blend of omlet and grated egg-stra boiled egg with a pinch of spice is gratifying. You also get a Bombay Pav along with this. (AED 14)
Cheese Masala Omlet: A masala omlet stuffed with delicious cheddar cheese that just melts in your mouth. It’s so satisfying. (AED 15)
Rice Bhurji: A perfect blend of proteins and Carbs after a tiring day at work. Rice Bhurji is a mix of scrambled minced eggs with rice, grated boiled eggs and spices. I recommend this dish as it’s a perfect combination of rice, spice and eggs in it. (AED 18)
Boiled eggs with Masala: Boiled eggs just the way I like it sliced and spiced. (AED 5)
Regular Omlet: An egg-cellent sandwich with crushed onion, green chili, ginger garlic and a hint of spice is served with a pav can be had in the form of a sandwich. (AED 10)
Adrak Chai: Special Chai with a touch of ginger. This is highly recommended after a meal as its good for digestion. (AED 4.50)
Cutting Chai: Served in small glass it is the Authentic Mumbai style road-side Chai. Cutting Chai refers to a half glass of tea. Here in the UAE its popularly known as Karak. (AED 4)
The service at Raju Omlet is good, with staff always around to look after you. When the place gets busy the service can thin down a bit, which is normal. I had a great egglicious experience and will be back soon J
