RISO-VEG ITALIAN KITCHEN

I was invited to the media preview of RISO. As I walked into the restaurant I was amazed to see the beautiful interiors and the décor. The furniture had contrast cushions and the designs were so different from each other. Bright and nice colors are used in the décor of this restaurant. The lighting is amazing for food bloggers as you wouldn’t have to struggle with extra lights or flashes. The ambiance is cozy and comfy. This restaurant serves only vegetarian food and the cuisine is Italian. It’s a vegetarian’s delight when it comes to Italian food.

I tried a few dishes that were served on my table. I started off with a special drink called the Mushroom Cappuccino. I tasted this for the first time ever. Mushroom cappuccino is a drink that has mushroom soup at the bottom and milk froth on top. It was luscious.

Starters:

Masala Garlic bread– Fresh bread flavored with garlic, stuffed with onions, bell peppers and some melting cheese on it. I enjoyed having the masala garlic bread. It had some Indian twist to it.

Nachos with beans- Nachos with Kidney beans(Rajma) with lots of cheese just like the way it should be topped with diced red and green bell pepper. Enjoyed this dish though it was a little spicy for my taste buds.

Fungi Trifolati- Fresh mushrooms sautéed with Italian herbs. I found the mushrooms were soft and buttery because they were sautéed so well with the herbs. Totally loved it.

Green Beans Salad- green beans with onion, tomatoes, bell pepper tossed with a great dressing. I am not a fan of green beans, but to give it a try I did and I loved it. The dressing made the salad so much tastier.

Main course:

Al Pesto Genovese: Fusilli pasta in pesto sauce, olive oil and loads of parmesan cheese. The Pasta sauce was heavenly.

Puttanesca: Fusilli pasta in a traditional Italian spicy tomato sauce with basil just the Italian way.

XO Rice: Steam rice cooked with XO sauce, zucchini, bell peppers, baby corn and garnished with basil leaves and Cherry tomato. The rice looked spicy but wasn’t spicy and was succulent.

Dessert:

Cute little buckets with Brownie at the bottom and Ice-cream on top was the dessert I had after a scrumptious meal. Chocolate brownie with Ice-cream was the dessert.
